Mobi Stories Review: Love It!

Submitted by gautam on November 16, 2009 – 1:10 PMNo Comment

The founders of Still Motion left their jobs to fill two needs.  Not only did they want to spend more time with their families, but they also wanted to develop a product that could supplement story time.  Now if you can’t be there or if your child wants story time while you are out, Mobi Stories has you covered!

Whether you would like story time on the computer (both PC and MAC) or your iPod, Mobi Stories offers both.  They offer digital books that are published children’s literature that can be played on an iPod, iPhone, PSP, portable DVD player, and MAC and PC computers.  Mobi Stories is perfect for any child who loves books and technology.

Mobi Stories are super simple to use and I have tried them on both my MAC and my iPod Touch.  I received the Mobi Stories book “Plane” to review on my iPod Touch and my boys love it.  First off it is basic and simple illustrations that are bold and fun, and the stories are short but creative.  The story features a plane and the pages are filled with sentences like “Plane lifts” “Soars high” and “Far Below.”  It fills the screen and are perfect for you to read with your child or as my sons like, they do it themselves.

Mobi Stories makes is super easy too to find a story appropriate for your child.  On their homepage they have the stories organized by Ages 2-6, 4-8, and 6-10 years old.  They even offer books in Spanish now!   The only drawback is that they can be expensive as they cost $5.99 and up, but then again I suppose actual books cost the same amount.  At least the Mobi Stories version can’t be ripped or lost and can be watched over and over again.

Don’t forget to download your FREE Mobi Stories Story HERE so you can see what its like, although you can preview each title before you buy them.  Oh and you can also follow Mobi Stories on Facebook and Twitter!
