{Father’s Day Gift Idea} Tortuga Rum Cakes & Gourmet Products Review (& Giveaway Ends 6/29)

MY THOUGHTS:

My first experience with Tortuga was almost five years ago on my honeymoon. I can’t remember if we purchased Tortuga Rum Cakes on our cruise ship or on one of the actual port destinations we stopped at, but I remember wishing I purchased more! I just assumed you couldn’t get them anywhere else, and never got a chance to look it up. Recently I came across Tortuga’s website when I was looking for a Father’s Day gift for my husband and I was so excited. My husband absolutely loved the rum cake and it is something he would never have expected as a gift. I wanted something unique and special this year. I will also purchase a bunch more later this year as a surprise for our five-year anniversary.

When I heard Tortuga made products other than their classic Golden Rum Cake, I was excited to try them out. I got the chance to check out their Golden Rum Cake, Key Lime Rum Cake, Flavored Coffee and their popular Hell Fire Hot Sauce. Both Rum Cakes were absolutely delicious and perfect. They were the smaller size which were more for a snack or individual serving, and they were so moist and definitely made with rum! Eating them make my husband and I feel a little closer to our island cruise we had taken! The coffee was awesome and my husband is already bugging me for another bag as we are just about out! It was the perfect to go with the rum cakes for a nice treat! Finally, the Hell Fire Hot Sauce was right up my husband’s alley. He loves hot stuff and the sauce was a nice surprise for him. He has been using it on everything, and I mean everything! I admit I haven’t tried it because I am a wuss but my husband is all for it!
