Cold Stone Creamery “Largest Ice Cream Social” (& Giveaway Ends 9/24)

Cold Stone Creamery is a company that is passionate about ice cream. The secret recipe for smooth and creamy ice cream is handcrafted fresh daily in each store, and then customized by combining a variety of mix-ins on a frozen granite stone. Cold Stone Creamery operates more than 1,500 locations in 16 countries.

Cold Stone Creamery has teamed up with Make-A-Wish Foundation to not only offer the “World’s Largest Ice Cream Social,” but also make a wish come true for 11-year old girl. Kate has a life-threatening congenital spinal-cord condition and her one true wish is to be a Cold Stone Tastemaster. She has created Kate’s Creation which is caramel apple ice cream mixed with graham cracker pie crust, chocolate shavings and apple pie filling.

Throughout the month of September, every Cold Stone nationwide will sell paper wish stars for $1 each. Then on September 30, the ninth-annual “World’s Largest Ice Cream Social” will take place. Cold Stone locations will give away three-ounce portions of Kate’s Creation from 5-8 p.m., while encouraging guests to make a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Cold Stone Creamery has supported the Make-A-Wish Foundation since 2002 and has generated more than $3.6 million in donations.

MY THOUGHTS:

I can’t remember the first time I visited to Cold Stone, but ever since I have been hooked. I have tried most of the flavors by now, but Cake Batter still remains my favorite! There is just something about watching the Cold Stone associates work the ice cream on the granite stone that really makes it creamy and unique. I of course add in all my favorite mix-ins, including gummy Bears and sprinkles!

Cold Stone Creamery to me is a place to get deliciously creamy ice cream no matter your age. For the young at heart they have fun sweet mix-ins, chocolate or check out one of the Cold Stone Creations. You can even get a shake, ice cream cake or pints to go! There really is a flavor or creation no matter what your tastes are!

I also think it is awesome that Cold Stone Creamery is partnering with Make-A-Wish Foundation to not only help bring in some donations, but also to make a child’s wish come true! So on September 30, 2010, not only can you get free ice cream but you can also help a great cause!
